IP Whiz extends its heartfelt thanks to the officers of the IPR Protection Dept at Qatar Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) for their exceptional effort and skill in scoring goal after goal against counterfeiters.

As Qatar is the world's richest country per capita, it attracts many high-grade counterfeits of luxury goods. From 12 to 17 October 2024, IP Whiz teamed up with MoCI in sweeping counterfeit jewellery and smartphone products from the Doha market.

The professionalism and speed of MoCI's men and women officers was impressive. Their quick reaction to seize counterfeits within hours of us finding them was combined with meticulous attention to legal procedure. Such dedication and expertise significantly strengthens the fight against illicit trade and safeguards legitimate businesses and consumers in the region.
